PLASTICS Amberlea
Plastics Limited was set up in 1997 to provide cost effective fastener solutions
and special purpose mouldings to OEM’s and the distribution industry. We
pride ourselves on our ability to provide a no compromise solution to plastic
fasteners and assembly problems. Amberlea’s Innovative Tooling System gives the ability to provide almost unlimited product styles and sizes, without the requirement for large volumes or tooling investment by the customer. We
have the ability to supply almost any one or two piece plastic fastener or
assembly, including those requiring the application of adhesive tape. Whether
it be a brand new product or a revision of a customer’s existing fastener,
Amberlea will be able to supply quickly and show a significant cost saving. Quotations are
normally
provided within one working day. Our operations have expanded over the past few years and we are now able to quote for in-house assembly work, whether it be plastic, mechanical or electrical. AMBERLEA GROUP We
are able to offer a line feeding service in southern England in conjunction with
our sister company Amberlea Logistics Limited. Requests from our customers have always been met with a good response, whether it is for a standard product, or a complete re-design with new tooling. However, one request we have always delayed has been to produce a catalogue. Our claim is that we are not a catalogue sales organisation, but a manufacturer/distributor of specialist plastic fasteners, and indeed that is how our customers see us. But our customers know best as always. It is at their request that we have produced our first catalogue for the use of specifiers, designers and buyers. It is not intended to be exhaustive or indeed to include every part in every size or option that is, or could be, available. Firstly it is a guide to the type of product that we supply and secondly, it lists those products which we are able to offer as 'standard', complete with dimensions, material and colour options. The products contained in this catalogue have evolved and grown and will continue to grow, as a result of working in partnership with our customers, to create cost effective solutions to fastening problems. New products come on stream regularly and are added to the available range. Equally well you will not find an order page to fax or email us, for that is not our sector of the market. If you see a part that might suit your need, call, fax or email for some samples to trial. Let us know your expected annual volume, and we will respond as usual, normally within one working day. If you do not see the part you seek, call anyway, there is a good chance that it may already be waiting for you on our shelves. Quality

assured. From the moment
your order is accepted, confirmed and dispatched, our experience in
providing quality goods and a quality service ensures your satisfaction. BS 9000 provides a base line from which we work, but it
is the personal effort that only a family run business experienced in supplying
quality product to major European manufacturers can provide, which makes that
difference. Materials A wide variety of plastic and rubber materials are
used: Nylon - An excellent engineering plastic, available in
many grades dependent on the use of the component. All grades offer strength,
flexibility and good electrical insulation at a very cost effective price.
Available with flammability ratings from V2 to V0. Acetal - Has its own built in memory allowing it to revert to its moulded form after being stressed on assembly, good impact resistance, good electrical insulation, good resistance to ultra violet light.
Colours Most fasteners are available ex-stock in a choice of
Natural, White and Black. Colours from our standard range
are available at no extra cost, dependent on quantity. Colour matching at
cost. Product Storage and Care Product is shipped from our premises in prime condition
ready for immediate use on the production line. Many nylon products are
delivered in sealed bags in order to preserve the moisture content, which is
necessary to remove any brittleness inherent in the material. When storing it is
advisable to keep nylon product in sealed bags to maintain the moisture level,
particularly during warm weather.
